Raichle Hurricane Gore-Tex® XCR® Hiking Shoes - Waterproof (For Men)

Great buy! I really love this shoes. They are really well made and high quality that built to last.

I use these for work and casual hiking.

Right out of the box the shoes look and feel fantastic. I purchased the shoes to replace backpacking boot for day hikes. I like the shoes so much on off-road hikes that I ended up wearing them daily around town. They have been comfortable for 6-8 hours of walking/hiking and standing in city and the woods. The good: waterproof, comfortable (fit my wide foot), nice style, stable, and work well in a variety of camping/hiking activities. The not so good: poor traction in snow, ice, muddy, and generally wet trail conditions, and there is a "popping" noise from the toe on my left shoe (seen this in other reviews), but not a big deal overall. Compared to my Zamberlain backpacking boots with Vibram sole, I would expect more from this shoe's Vibram. Overall, I am still wearing them (6 mo/ later), love 'em, and would purchase them again. I have put the hurricane's through rocks, mud, swamps, sand, and rivers and they are still going strong.

Good Pair of Shoes. Good level of comfort, but not quite as comfortable as a pair of ECCO's. Overall no issues, I've had them for 2 weeks worn almost everyday.

I bought a pair of these for myself and they were so nice that my husband was envious. So....we had to order a pair for him! They are very comfortable, perfect for many conditions and a really great deal.

I work outdoor education so I'm outside all day and wanted shoes not boots to walk the trails. Bought these shoes in April and wore them every day. I liked the shoes a lot in the beginning, great fit, completely waterproof. They started to fall apart and by September there were tears in the seams which caused water to leak in. I wore them every day through spring and most of summer, but I expected them to hold up better.

I took this shoe as a backup hiking shoe on my 76 mile trip to summit Mt. Whitney in CA. I had some bad blisters on my feet from the extreme climbs of the trip and my 80 lb. pack. I threw these shoes on to give my feet some relief and they worked great. I climbed 2k feet in one day over nasty boulders and rocks without a problem from these shoes. Excellent traction, pretty good support and stiff foot bed, water proof as I crossed numerous streams and they seem to be pretty durable. They were comfortable too and didn't bother my blisters a great deal. I wish I had bought a better insole as the ones that come with them are junk and don't cushion your feet that much. Also, as long as you have some good whicking sock liners your feet breathe pretty well. I found that my feet stayed pretty dry and didn't get that wet from perspiration. This was my first shot at Raichle as I usually buy Salomon. I was impressed however, if it wasn't for the bad insoles I'd give it 5 stars. This was my first shot at Raichle as I usually buy Salomon. Very nice goretex every day shoe and day hiker. Light weight, good support and very secure feel. Breathes even during warm summer days. Highly recommend.

I ordered these in a Mens because they didn't have my size in a womens. I wore them all day and my feet were a little sore. I am not sure if they would be good for hiking, but they stood up well to the wet weather.
