Raichle Mountain Crest Gore-Tex® Backpacking Boots - Waterproof (For Women)

I bought two pairs, one for myself and one pair for my husband who wears a men's 6 1/2. When we got them, it turned out that the advise to order one half size up was accurate, so we returned the smallest pair and ordered another in a larger size. The boots are beautifully made and very comfortable. We like to do three and four day backpacking treks and we anticipate that these are going to be PERFECT for these kinds of tramps.

First I was sent the wrong size, US versus UK sizes. The right size fits just as poorly as the wrong. Shoes look much better in picture than in reality. Built entirely too stiff even for heavy duty backpacking shoes.

Bought these boots to hike the Chilkoot Trail. With very little break in they were fabulous. Kept my feet dry and warm in fairly extreme conditions. Great traction.

I bought these boots to try the glove-leather lining, but alas, it's only leather lined around the collar of the boot, otherwise, they are a fine boot. I have the men's version and LOVE them! I wouldn't recommend them for women with wide feet, but rather get the same boots in men's which tend to run wider. I wrote a previous review for these boots which is a mistake and should have been for the Raichle boots item #1620V. Sorry if I misled anyone.

I have a pair of the Raichle Mountain Crest Gortex boots and just love them. Wanted to try a pair with the leather lining and find them even more comfortable. I will just waterproof them myself. My feet are still happy even after a long day of hiking. Would I buy them again? Already have!!
