    I bought these shoes to replace my 4 year old Merrell Chameleon shoes that I loved but finally wore out. The Raichle shoes fit nicely (I went a half size larger as recommended) and initially were very stiff but broke in quickly over the course of a couple of days. I am ooking forward to several years of use out of these!

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    when I go downhill, my toes will cruch the front of the shoes and make uncomfortable. and size is a little bit too loose. I wear 10 normally, but this shoes I think I should wear 9 1/2. Otherwise, this is a good shoes.

    Well built and sturdy but, as others have mentioned, narrow in the forefoot (this works fine for me). Also I agree with others that suggested these require some breaking-in prior to trail use.

    The english size 11.5 is a roomy 12, which happens to be just what I need. Sole is stiffish, which is entirely appropriate for walking rough trails. It has a very secure feel on the foot even though it is a low shoe. I haven't stressed it yet, nor worn it in the rain.
