Closeouts. From trail head to summit, Raichle’s X-Degree 7 hiking boots offers an ultra-grippy Vibram® outsole and design that supports the natural rolling movement of the foot without compromising support.
I bought these boots last winter. They were recommended to me but I will not wear them anymore. I thought after a month of blisters I would finally have a great pair of boots, however this is not the case, whether wearing wool socks, cotton socks or any sock with liner I can't prevent blisters on my heel. I just hiked 25 peaks in the Adirondacks with these boots attached to my pack and my sandals on my feet. Also, not waterproof. Very dissatisfied with these boots!

I got these shoes about 10 days before my back packing trip. I wore them everyday till the day of the trip. Unfortunately, 30 mins into the hike with a 40 lb. load on the back i started getting blisters on the back of my foot. I immediately put on some bandaid and mole skin. Alas, it was already too late and my trip was miserable because of the blisters.
I probably need to give the shoe more break in time. But for now, I can't say I am happy with this shoe.

Wear these boots daily from the day I received them. Also have done some day hiking and plan on taking them on some bigger trips. They are perfect for me and a perfect price. No issues so far at all.

First pair of hiking boots. I followed the reviews and ordered a half-size small, which worked perfectly. At first, they were very rigid, and during break-in I swapped out the insoles for some gelled ones, which made a huge difference. I have wide feet and narrow ankles so it took a little modification to the lacing, but once I got it dialed in the support is great. These are not waterproof, and the tongue WILL let water through easily, but they dry out quickly.

I live in such a hilly neighborhood that Lance Armstrong uses our neighborhood for his recreational hill training rides. I walk my dog through my hilly neighborhood at least once or twice a day, which comes out to be about 3 to 5 miles a day. I bought these boots specifically for this activity. It's been a bit of a trying experience "breakig" them in, particularly for a light weight hiking boot. In comparison my medium/heavey weight Fabiano's were great from the get go. In spite of having to break them in I am still satisfied with the purchase and the price.

I use the boots for everyday use where I stand for long hours on the job.
I have also used these boots in remote locations for years, such as in the Antarctic where I was constatntly on basalt rock and in very bad climatic conditions, these boots have always held up beatifully and fit my foot like a glove. I know I can always count on the perfect fit and I would not even consider buying boots made by anyone else.
