Closeouts. Hiking will never be the same for your feet — Raichle's X-Degree hiking boots support the natural rolling movement of the foot yet still provide a stabilizing center for rocky ascents and descents.

I love the ankle support with this boot. It is a bit stiff and it is not water proof but that is easily remedied. These are solid boots and those with weak ankles are greatful for the support.

I wanted to like these boots but they are just too high. They felt good on the foot but the ankle went too high and when I walked they hit me in the back of the leg. It's hard to describe but very bad. I am returning these boots.

My previous pair of Raichles, twenty-five years old, if a day, completely disintegrated about three weekends ago.(and they were branded with the Philmont brand--so sad.) I immediately wanted to order a new pair. Unfortunately, only size one-half larger than my usual was then available. They are a little loose even with my big socks. I have had no chance to give them a good shake-down, but I am hoping to have as great hikes and backpacks as with the old pair. The new ones are much lighter than the old--great.

I hike regulary around the rugged hills and mountains of sourther New Mexico. I wanted some good boots with support and traction. I have had these about a month or so. The boots are ripping at the seams. The arch and ankle support were terrible. I had to purchase some arch support inserts just to be able to use the boots. I will not by a Raichle produce again.

I sent these back because I didn't read carefully enough. These are not water resistant, and where I live, that's just stupid. If you live in the southwest, or any place dry, these are super!

It must be a challenge to translate European sizes, because this wasn't even close. Way too big. In addition to the sizing issue, the boot itself just seems too big. But it is lightweight. And nice looking. Had to return.

I have a permanently damaged ankle. These boots give me the support I need to where I please in safety. A person who did not need the height in these boots, might not want it. They are also "leaky" around the lacing holes. Other than that, they're wonderful.

I'm just breaking in my feet to my new boots. So far, the boots are great, and feel like my old boots. I've only worn them twice so far, each time on a 3 mile walk on the flat surfaces of South Florida. I have always taped my heels when wearing boots to prevent blisters. This works well for me, so I always do it and never have blisters. I'll write another report when I return from my hiking vacation.
I like the little hooks at the top of the laces and my previous boot inserts fit in these boots perfectly.

Boots were bought to replace a pair of light hiking boots from LL Bean after the sole fell off of one boot (!). The Raichles were taller and looked stiffer, but to my surprise were very comfortable right out of the box. I have only worn them about 5 miles, but it was on steep terrain - baptized them accidentally in deep swamp mud - they kept my feet dry (although not billed as waterproof) and cleaned up nicely when I got home. I picked a winner.
