Closeouts. A majestic meeting of form and function, Rainforest's 2-in-1 duffle coat with removable snorkel hood joins the performance of breathable, water-resistant fabric and 500 fill power down with a modern, city-friendly design.

Paper thin down layer, virtually pointless.
It's almost like they limit each jacket to one duck's wing per coat. Nothing.
And, yes, I've had 500 fill power jackets that were far more substantial than this, so I don't think my expectations were out of line.
Maybe this jacket is fine if you live in Seattle where you're more often worried about rain and a chill, but if you're expecting that down to fend off anything below freezing, good luck, it's not going to.
Modern "Mad Max" sort of design in the hood and collar, if that's something you're looking for.

This coat is very well-made. It's stylish and can be worn with a suit or casually. It has great features. I was so pleased with this coat when it arrived, I wanted to write to strongly recommend it to anyone considering making a purchase.

This fits well over a suit and looks to be quite warm although we haven't had weather cold enough to test that. My arms are long (36" sleeve) and the sleaves are just long enough but adequate. Styled to look good in the city, not just an outdoor-style coat.

Ideal casual warm coat that can be worn to work, even over a blazer. Equally useable on weekends with jeans. If temperatures rise, you can take out the lining. Priced at a fraction of what you would pay for a traditional British duffel coat.
