“The perfect garden shoe”

“I keep a pair of these at the back door and slide in them every time I need to go out to work in the garden, clean out the chicken coop, or just putz around the yard. They have good traction, are sturdy enough to stay on and provide padding if I'm using a shovel. They keep my feet warm and dry in the winter. They don't breathe, so in the summer I need to wear light socks with them if I'm going to have them on for any length of time. (Barefoot works, and is comfortable for a while, but gets sweaty on hot days.) My biggest complaint about these is that if I'm wearing really thick socks or am barefoot, when I take them off the insole slips out as well. (On the plus side, the removable insole makes them easy to clean.) I've had mine two years now, and they are still holding up great. I am buying a pair for my daughter, and another pair for her to grow into since I like these so much and the price is right.”
