“I originally got this jacket a size larger than I wear (as the reviews suggested, and bought a large) but quickly found it to be too big and definitely bulky. This jacket is made of a heavy weight windproof fabric. So, if you bought the jacket a size larger and wore a sweater underneath, it has great potential to get you through the winter (depending on your winter - not MN). But for me I needed a spring/fall jacket to dress over lighter clothes. The medium is a better fit, and will do great for field work and winter sports! Best price around for such a great jacket too. The only con is the shape of the hood, it has a built in visor brim which is a little dorky, but definitely functional.”
