I like the product, but I wished that it had a hinged binding so that the snowshoe wouldn't slap up into my boot and send snow flying. Otherwise it is great, easy to bind with ease of travel.

These snowshoes are absolutely the best! I was a little leary ordering without giving them a try, but I had nothing to worry about. Our family bought three pair! The traction can't be beat and works equally well uphill and down, especially on crusty and icy snow. They were an incredible bargain and exactly what we needed for our off-the-trail snowshoe hikes.

I bought these in March and they arrived just as the snow had melted. I probably will not get to use them until next year. I did try them on and I loved the bindings. The binding seems easy to use and they fit very securely in my boots. I will be looking forward to a big snowfall so I can try the out.

The snowshoes work great on icy, spring snow conditions. They don't work at all in powdery, light snow. I sank with each step. They are terrific, however, for groomed trails and firmer snow conditions. Lightweight and easy to walk in.

I used these snowshoes on snowmobile paths and off into deeper fluff. Biggest issue was that they kick up a lot of snow. Worked really well on slightly icy snow. Secure bundings, but took a few extra minutes to put on.

A great pair of snowshoes for the close-out price! Nice bindings and very good crampons for steeper pitches and side slopes. These snowshoes are somewhat heavier than other snowshoes I've used but not enough to be a big negative, just note that lighter-duty snowshoes for "recreational use" tend to also be lighter weight. I like the powder-coating on the crampons which should help avoid ice buildup underfoot but haven't been in conditions yet to see how well that works.

I have had two prior pairs of snowshoes. Atlas and a pair of Yakimas(I don't think these are made anymore). I have a problems with the tails of the snowshoes catching each other. These Redfeathers have made that problem go away. Plus they are definitely lighter than my previous ones. I used to do some backcountry hikes in deeper snow but haven't done so in these. With the slimmer profile, I'm not sure yet how well they will perform in that environment.

I LOVE my new snowshoes. After renting for a few years I decided to take the plunge.Although it is hard to tell from the photo, the bindings on these shoes are awesome, quick release, easy in and out.I tested them in all sorts of snow and I move fast and efficient, plenty of traction and grip when you need and keeps you on top and moving.

I'm 5'10" 165lb and snowshoeing 10 years. The floatation offered is adequate for day hikes in everything but the deepest powder. I like the compact size. The decking is very durable and streached tight. The colors are painted on the deck and will wear off quickly (cosmetic only though). The crampons are sharp and beefy and offer good traction, though a little heavy. The are made in the USA and construction is good. My gripes are two. The snowshoes are alot heavier than listed. I weighed the pair at 4 lbs 3 oz (3.5lb is the listed weight). And the bindings are some of the worst I've used. They are heavy, a pain to manage all the loose straps, the rear ratchet doesn't work the best, and worst of all, only after a few steps, the snowshoes rotate into "pigeon toe" action. This seems consistent with the experience of others. No matter how hard I tried and re adjusted and tightened, they would immediately rotate off track so as to point inward. Only saving grace is that the bindings are interchangeable. They are held down by 4 bolts and nuts. I may try a different style binding (can order them from redfeather). Also you must verify that the nuts and bolts that hold the bindingd are staying tight.
