Purchased for my wife, never on snowshoes. Flicked snow up her back at first, until she adjusted her stride. Now she's walks along as if she been using for years. Used on ice,in the woods, and up and down hills.

I bought these for my son's girlfriend and she loves them. She said they've been on icy rocks, deep snow and pretty much everywhere and they've worked well. She said the bindings work well and are easy enough to get on and off. She's about 5'7 or so, medium build.

I snowshoe 5 to 10K daily on trails I have packed myself. Conditions have varied from 3 feet of powder to thick wet snow and ice, with terrain over flats, hills and steeps. The snowshoes have exceeded my expectations. They worked well to pack trail, have great traction on steep slopes both up and down, and since they are so light I can actually jog on the packed trail. I've used friends snowshoes and felt like a waddling duck, but this snowshoe is narrow enough to let me have a natural stride. That's the best! I have only one concern; the heel plate is fixed and may not work with a large shoe size. I wear a 7.5 and fit OK. They are really quick to put on, very easy to adjust to different shoes/boots. I've used running shoes, hiking boots, x-c ski boots and the bindings accommodate all.

Used on a hut trip to McNamara Hut near Aspen CO. The details were 5 miles 2000 vertical on packed trail with deep snow 5' off trail. The hut was located at 10,300'. We carried overnight packs and pulled a 70-80# sled. The trail wasn't perticularly steep but had significant amount of fresh on the descent.

I'm a first time snow-shoer so can't really compare to other products other than observations of my friends snow-shoes while we were trekking. These were a bit more narrow than unisex shoes, putting my feet closer together on stride, which I was happy for. They were light and comfortable on. The bindings seems slightly more tedious than my friends who had the Redfeather Rainier Ultras. Even so, I was happy with my choice. I snowshoed in the Swiss Alps, mixed terrain, including icy patches and steep pitches, and these performed GREAT!
