I ordered a bigger size snowshoe(based on website descriptions) and received the 21 inch snowshoe for a smaller person. When I called to inquire about the correct size they said that only very big ones were left. That was disappointing.

I fell in love with trail running during the summer & fall & missed it in the winter months. Treadmills are just not appealing to me. These snowshoes are great for winter trail runs in PA. I don't think they would be the best for deep powder but work great for East coast snow conditions. They help provide more stable footing in crusty snow. They offer a narrow stride making them a great "racer" snowshoe. They were easy to run in the first time I tried them. The binders are easy to use & provide a snug & comfortable fit. I am soooo happy with my purchase!

This product meets snowshoe racing specs. The tail end works well, especially when turning on a trail at a run speed. They are not particularly designed to get you across deep snow, but suit the racer or a lightweight walker. I thought these would be lighter, but are about the same weight as the 25' older version.

  • Question “I'm 115 lbs. 5'7, semi-adventurous 52 yr. old woman so these would work for me I think, and the price point is great. What is the difference between these ones and the Stride Reflex model? I mostly ski but want to get outfitted with snowshoe gear because a couple non-skiing girlfriends love it.”
Asked on 1/5/2013 12:00:00 AM by BJ from Unknown
    • Answer The stride has the Reflex binding and Hypalon decking material and this pair has the Summit binding with TX35 decking material. The stride also has a more aggressive crampon. The snowshoes have a 125 lb weight capacity.

  • Question “Would these shoes fit a child's shoe size 3? I am looking for snow shoes to fit 80lbs 4 1/2 foot tall child under $100. Any suggestions?||Thanks,||Dorothy”
Asked on 11/4/2012 12:00:00 AM by Dorothy from Southeast Lower Michigan
    • Answer The bindings will adjust small enough to work. I tried a child size 3 in a pac type boot and I could adjust the binding to fit.
