Did a 2 hour hike on a rolling snowmobile trail. Binding straps were tight, but the bindings still seemed loose. The binding material is rubbery and did not seem secure. The heels of my boots were all over the place and I had to make an effort to walk to keep the shoes going straight. Also the front crampon was very apparent and hurt the bottoms of my feet. I am going to return these.

I haven't been able to use these yet, but I used the same brand/model last year about once a week. Used the free snowshoes at the ski area while my son was practiced with his ski team. Fell in love with the sport - great exercise and lower impact.

There is no snow, so it's hard to rate them. They look really cool and my wife is going to love the way they look. They seem well built and will probably be great. I do like Sierra Trading Post's [...] prices. I will continue to shop there!

  • Question “How effective is this snowshoe for running?”
Asked on 11/6/2012 12:00:00 AM by Kev the chev from Northern MA
    • Answer It should be OK as a running snowshoe. It design is similar to Redfeathers racing snowshoe. This model just a bit wider by an inch and heavier than the Redfeather Race.
