    I love the snowshoes, this is my second pair of redfeather. I like the old design for the bindings, where you just step in and pull the cord to tighten for toe and heel, so much simpler. Not crazy about the little piece of metal sticking out to hold the strap on the heel along with the rubber ring, nor the rubber itself, feels like it won't hold up but the snowshoe design itself is great. I snowshoe almost every day in the northeast winters.

    These snowshoes are used for recreational activity, mostly for winter hikes on ungroomed rolling wooded trails and prairie land. Great fit, lightweight, easy to pack and use. Straps on the bindings are plenty long enough to allow adapting to a wide range of footwear.

    I tried out several different styles! The redfeather 30" are perfect for me. I am in my 50's and walk on my frozen lake and in the woods of Wisconsin. At times the snow is deep and other times just icy on the lake. I love the fit of the straps the best, there is plenty of strap room for any type of boot. I like the fact that the strap around the heel fits snugly, others I have tried did not do thast! I Love my snowshoes. I get out almost evey day with my dog, and do a few miles with weights on my arms, hopefully I will drop some pounds without even knowing it! AND they are made in LaCrosse Wisconsin--how cool is that! USA Made, and my home State!!

    some care needed to put on the bindings right: no toe catcher, so you have to feel where the crampon is and put it under the ball of your foot. Nice stable bindings, shoes feel light and quick.

    At least one reviewer mentioned that he had trouble with the binding on these holding the foot straight, and that was sure my problem. Nothing I did would keep the binding from twisting on the snowshoe, which made walking VERY uncomfortable. I am new to snowshoeing so I have no experience, but this can't be the way these are supposed to work.
