While I haven't had the chance to take mine out, I bought two pairs, my husband has taken his out and LOVES them! Used them for ice fishing, getting up and down hills and hiking around the lakes and woods! Really like these! These bindings are much better than the straps! :)

I bought these to replace the first pair I bought. The 3 buckle entry is fast and easy. The first pair had straps and did not secure your foot properly. The tapered back end makes them faster and easier to walk fast or even run in. I am only 130 lb.s and 5'4" in height. The size was perfect for deep snow. We also bought hiking poles which realy help you to stabize yourself on slick surfaces and help with fatigue. So much fun!

I am a novice snowshoe-er and these have been a great way for me to get into the sport. So far, just walking on rolling to flat terrain in the woods. They are really light weight, great traction and stability. I am not super keen on the attachment system: straps made of plastic that you can ratchet to tighten. It's easy to get part of this jammed against my boot - my first time I nearly broke the plastic near the front of my boot when it got jammed against it and I started ratcheting. This system can be hard to do with any dexterity with cold fingers - it requires bare fingers or thin gloves to maneuver the straps, so it can be a little frustrating. Quick to pop them off though. I can also foresee that the strap system could wear out (teeth on the gears wear down or break). I would probably look for a different attachment system next time.
