Both forward straps that attach the binding to the shoe broke the second time I wore these. Pretty cheaply constructed.

I bought these as a replacement for an 8 yr-old pair of Tubbs Pinnacles (which I lost, but that's another story...) These snowshoes have the binding attached to the frame using a dedicated strap, which you step on as you walk. This is similar to most of the recreational shoes out there and seems to me to be the weakest part of the design. I returned these in favor of a new pair of Tubbs Wilderness (which I found for under $220/pair.) What I like about Tubbs is that the bindings attach to a metal cleat with a metal bar that absorbs the rotation of your foot as you walk. The cleat/bar are held to the frame with a dedicated strap, but you don't walk on the strap and thus avoid putting friction on the most used part of the shoe.

Good snow shoes, don't throw snow on my back like my wifes Atlas brand. The rachet binding system don't really rachet that good but they do remain secure and have a lot of adjustment. I am happy with this product.

I have used these snowshoes twice so far and they have worked well. They are light and also easy to attach and remove once you have them fitted to your boots. I also like the traction going up and down hills. I hope they will give me many years of good service.

These are wonderful snowshoes for the money! I used them for the first time last weekend and found them to fit well and easy to get on and off. They don't float well in powder snow, though. Thus, if you want to use them in powder, be sure to get a long pair.

Overall, an excellent value for the sale price. I've used them twice. On deep compacted snow, they floated very well . Negotiating through brush and on descents and uneven terrain they performed well and gave good traction. I haven't used them in deep powder, but expect them to sink in somewhat. If I hurried along, they tended to throw snow onto my butt, but no higher, so no big deal. My biggest "con" is that the lashings are stiff and need to be worked to get them more pliable. Also, the three straps, while holding securely, weren't real easy to get on/off. Whether they hold up over long years' of service only time will tell. I recommend them.

I'm new to snowshoes but this has been the perfect year for them in MN. I borrowed a pair (old technology) while waiting for my order to arrive. When the new ones arrived, I strapped them on and I was off. They are so much easier than the ones I borrowed. They are great and I'm hoping for more snow.
