Light and fast: well built.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Did an 8km race in these and they worked great. Actual tag on snowshoes indicates NO upper weight restriction for use on firm trails. I weigh 190 lbs and they worked fine for running on firm trails. The heel plate is mounted a little far forward for my size 12 running shoe, but it was not noticeable. You might notice it only on the hardest packed trails. Straps held well at -15F. Somehow some fine snow got inside the tubing and melted out later on my entryway floor.
