I bought these as my first pair of waders. I borrowed other types of waders before this purchase. These redington waist waders are built well with a little extra padding on the knees. These are light and cool since you do not have the chest area covered up. I usualy pull these up to the top of my belly but lower than my chest. I am a little over weight so when I'm walking a good way into the woods to a fishing spot the waders slip down to my waist. I think maybe some suspenders might help. I'm not fond of the web belt that comes with the pants since I would have it tieghtened on my stomach. Other than that issue these waders are great. Breathable waders are the best.
