Redington Bow River Jacket - Waterproof (For Men)

Bought to replace my Patagonia wading jacket that started to fall apart. Looks like it will work nicely!

This wading jacket was an excellent buy at the STP discounted price. It is comfortable and so far well waterproofed on several steelhead trips. A very reasonable alternative to the much higher priced wading jackets available.

Wow, what a value. I purchased this jacket in 2008 as an entry level jacket until I had $ to move up to a higher end jacket. The jacket has exceeded all my expectations. From driving rain and snow to walking through the brush the jacket performs very well. The jacket has lots of storage room compared to other jackets. It is quiet and functional. So what is missing: no D rings on the front, no pit zips, the cuff adjustment does catch fly line. Overall I would give this jacket an A. I am staying with this jacket.

I own a million jackets suitable for cold and windy fishing weather. I purchased this jacket because it was a "wading" jacket and claimed to be "100% guaranteed waterproof" and breathable. After wearing it on a BC river in the rain for 3 hours, the rain completely soaked through and rendered the jacket useless. I will be returning the jacket as it was mearly but a sponge. I now question anything claiming to be "100% waterproof". I would say this jacket is, if anything, water resistant.

Not waterproof therefore not much of a fishing jacket. Dont waste your money.

Excellent wading jacket for steelhead fishing in the fall. I have tried many different brands and this jacket surpasses all in style, comfort, and performance. I think i'm going to buy another for when this one wears out in 10-15 seasons.

Great "quick-open" pocket "tabs", Weather-proof Cuffs. With a light fleece under-layer it is ideal for just about any in-climate weather condition.

Bought this for a trip to colorado in a few weeks. I expect it will be a perfect piece of gear there as well as my more local waters in NC. All the pockets definitley mean I can replace my fishing vest in cooler weather outings.

The jacket design and fit are great. However, on my first fly fishing trip with this jacket, a long rain storm soaked completely through the jacket and took several days to dry out making it practically unusuable for the remainder of the trip. If you buy the jacket, don't plan on using it in wet weather. I returned the jacket along with 2 other friends that purchased the same jacket and experienced the same problem.
