    I purchased two of these packages as gifts. I live in Alaska and salmon fishing is way of life. I already have the rod that comes in this package and when I saw that I could get a full combo pack for [$], I bought two of them. I purchased the rod I have as a spare for visiting dignitaries. It is very good quality for the money and a great choice for beginners. The reel is not that great but the drag seems to be adequate. Time will tell if the reel will last but at this price it was a no brainer. As always the STP service was exceptional.
