It causes my ankles to swell up, and causes blisters. Great design, but not great in actuality. Just ok.

The first time out with these boots, I walked/fished 7+ miles along a stream with no blisters, hotspots, or bruised toenails. I was happy to get out them at the end of the day, but there were no lasting injuries. I normally wear 9 or 9.5. Ordered 10, and the fit is perfect with with waders and a pair of synthetic backpacking socks. The lugged rubber soles are great for covering terrain while working streams. However, they do slip on algae covered rocks. Never used felt soles, so I have no basis for comparison. The footbed and soles are perforated, so the boots drain immediately. The upper tends to absorb water; as a result, the boots feel slightly heavier when wet.
