Redington Hunter River Wading Jacket - Waterproof (For Men)

This is a great, lightweight, packable, fishing jacket.

Cold/wet and miserable weather protection, just what I need over the waders. It keeps layers of clothes dry and keeps me warm allowing me to spend more time on(and in) the water

The outer layer bubbled up and delaminated the firest time I wore it...apparently defective.

I would not buy this again. It was apparently flawed, and the outside fabric bubbled the first time I used it and delaminated.

This would be an excellent extra jacket. I had another Redington Wading Jacket that is excellent, however it was also 3 times the cost at sierratradingpost. This jacket has bubbles in the "material" and I have not even worn it. I plan to keep it as a jacket for the trunk or boat. It is a cross between a rain slicker material (rubber) and something else. Feels like rubber sort of. It is hard to describe. I would recommend it to a friend because I paid around $20 for the jacket.

a bit concerned about the PVC coating, we'll have to see how it will hold up, out side of the coat not having neo-cuffs I think its a bargain. I would have to buy 16x of these to pay for my Simms jacket and while I think the G3 is a great coat, I worry about it getting "borrowed" out of my truck all the time, this Redington I could leave in the dry box in the boat and wouldn't tear up nearly as much if it happened to walk away.

Outer layer is bubbled all over the jacket. I was not sure if this is normal so I used it to find out. After about 2 hrs in the rain, I was warm but wet all down my front. The zip area in front overlaps and should work but does not.

not durable used it one time

I just returned from a 6-day fly fishing trip to Jackson Hole, WY, and the first week of October saw almost record low temperatures and lots of early season snow. I used the jacket every day over 3 layers of clothes and it did a great job of cutting the wind and keeping me dry from the snow and sleet. The fact that the jacket doesn't breathe was not a problem in the cold weather. The jacket hood was particularly roomy and did a fabulous job of cutting the wind and keeping my face from freezing. The large size fit comfortably over my three layers including a fleece sweater. I highly recommmend this jacket to fly fishers and other freshwater anglers!

A perfect waterproof jacket with lots of pockets. The material is not too thin. It has some stretch and doesn't feel like it'll tear easliy - not afraid to move around in it. Highly recommended for rainy weather, travel, and fishing. I would like to see this jacket have an option to come with a warm lining - for my cool weather surf fishing.
