Unlike some others, you can tuck the finger covers back into pockets on the back of the gloves including the thumb to keep them out of the way when you want your fingers exposed. That means no flopping finger covers to catch you fly line. They may not be quite as warm as all fleece glommets but, they are sufficient and don't hold water.

Disappointed that there is no way to cinch the gloves at the wrist to keep the warmth in and the cold/snow/rain out. Also frustrating there is nothing, e.g. velcro, to keep the thumb cover from coming off. Luckily I won't be using these very often (and got them at a greatly reduced price) - they will do the job for occasional use, but otherwise I would have returned them.

5.0 out of 5 stars. half finger mitt glovesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Fishin in Sunny CA from Callifornia on Tuesday, November 3, 2015wear medium-large size gloves with 9.5inch measurement for gloves and these fit true medium slighlty snug and large size slightly loose. mitt folds away on back of glove but still is prominant which may get tangled in the casting loops when fly fishing. Gloves are flexible and not too thick. Should keep hands warm but have not tried oiut on the water yet.
