Good addtion to the vest

I should have had these earlier in the year for the beginning of trout season when it was snowing first week. I had a chance to try them out last week on the steel head streams in Erie, PA with the temps in the mid to upper 30s. I got the L/XL and on my oversized paw, the fit was nice and snug but not constricting. No trouble tying knots. Still maintained good rod feel. I'm not sure the palm cut out is necessary; on a really cold day believe I'd prefer to have hand more covered. Not sure they would be the ticket for serious ice fishing unless covered with a heavy mitt. If your hands are going to be in and out of cold water a lot, I would suggest wearing those thin nitrile gloves they sell in the home centers under these. Keep your hands dry and these might add enough cover to retain heat. Haven't tried out idea yet. Now, if those darned steel head had just cooperated last week!
