“I am new to fly fishing, being an avid spinning rig user. I was suprised to see the 9 foot version of this rod (6 wt) fail completly at the join for the two pieces. I cast for about one hour (though with 7 wt line) when on the back cast, "CRUNCH!" That was the end of it. Though these rods have a lifetime replacement guarantee, the handling charge is about [$], which is too expensive.”
