“This reel is cast and machined aluminum with the drag system housing and adjustment knob being injection molded. The cork disc drag is partially visible via a gap between the drag housing and reel. Thus not suitable for salt water use since maintenance will necessitate dismantling the whole reel and drag. It's a robust reel for the relatively low price. The fit of the spool and reel is good and operation is smooth. Great reel for the novice or for a knock around set up for the mountain lakes and rivers.”
