    These were the first convertible pants I ever owned. I used to get skin rashes from sweaty work, but these lightweight pants have mostly alleviated this problem. Our winters in south Alabama are not extreme, so I'm able to wear them throughout the year. The mesh pockets from a few years ago was too fragile for keys, etc. and would easily tear. I think that has been remedied, and the newer version is a bit heavier. At this price it's hard to go wrong.

    overall sizing is too big, inseam is way longer than the 30" advertised. I will probably keep them only because the shipping will cost almost as much as the pants. Will still work for hiking, with a belt.
