    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    Velcro is not an acceptable closure (for me) at the waist for pants or shorts, because it wears out and eventually won't hold. Also, I take a 38, to sometimes a 40" waist (depending on the fit I want), I ordered 40" and they were too small.

    Great looking board shorts, but the sizing is way off. My son wears a 34. He said they aren't even close. I'm returning them.
