However, the plastic clasp broke off even before he wore it, so he won't be able to snug it under his chin. Clasp is too lightweight to stand up to very much use.

The L/XL is as big as it comes but is still a bit tight for an XL head - hoping it will stretch a bit. Fabric has a nice faux leather look and fur is decent quality - not too long or scraggly. Ear flaps are functional and can be buttoned up or down. If you are looking for a traditional aviator style hat, you can't do better than this one at this price.
