I usually wear a size 4 but this size 6 fits around the waist just fine and I don't think I could button a size 4 with this particular jean. brand. So, if you have a small waist and need room for hips and thighs, these probably will be fine. The reason I gave this a 3 was I am not sure if these are 2nds because of the off sizing or if this is the way this famous brand sizes.

Reviewed by CJS in NC from North Carolina on Monday, April 15, 2013Definitely not relaxed fit! These jeans are nicely made but they run really small. I normally wear an 8 in Lands End and I ordered these in a 10 because I wanted them for horseback riding and I can barely zip them.

I have the wider hips and larger thighs with a small waist and these will need an alteration to the waist to fit most comfortably. But overall they are cut to give you room where you need it and feel comfortable when sitting and moving around. Since these have no spandex and are a heavier weight pant, I like the roomier cut. When on, they give a trim look. I have not washed them yet, so I cannot comment on that.

Reviewed by MarieN from NY on Wednesday, March 13, 2013Love these jeans. Obviously, from a good maker, as they have torn out their label from the inside pocket and left a gaping hole. Otherwise, they are fine. The fit is comfortable and they are up to par.
