I have gotten quite a bit of use out of this new parka over the past two weeks. I find that this parka is warm and functional. The water proof outer shell has helped keep me dry on a couple of days that were quite wet. The only down point of the parka is that the outer shell is noisy in cold conditions. By taking the outer shell off the noise problem goes way down. Overall, the parka is a very good buy and very functional.

Tried the parka on and found that it fit well. It is a very good quality coat. Can't wait to try it out in a couple of weeks during our WI gun season.

This is not a hunting jacket but a rain coat. I ordered a large and it is way to snug.
the material is way to noisy to do deer hunting unless you use it for chase.
it would be to much trouble to return and to expensive considering I only paid $37.
I had bought it for a gift but I will not give it. I may use it for snow shoveling.
spend a little more and get a proven product.

I have always worn a blaze orange safety vest over my camo 4-in-1, so when the opportunity came up to buy this 4-in-1 parka in blaze orange at an unbelievable low price, I did. A large size fit me perfectly, and all zippers and fasteners worked. I am delighted. Sierra Trading Post, you did it again!!

for ther money..............a total 43dollars and crinkly and swarpy for hunting even after attempts to loosen it up. it is a good set of jackets , however, for work and fishing .

This is worth every cent paid for it. My husband was so pleased. He loves the style of this parka. So many different ways to wear it. I bought it for a raincoat because he needed one. Didn't realize how many styles it could be worn.

    You rock Sierra Trading Post!

I'm not a hunter so the issues that some folks have mentioned as bothersome (noisy velcro openings, etc,) are not of concern to me. I bought the coat for an outdoor work coat and it fits the bill very well. It just so happened to have arrived just before we had a week of the coldest weather we've had in 40 years. The coat kept me toasty warm while I was working on water issues in 15-20 degree weather. I am disappointed that the insulated, removeable inner part of the coat only goes to the waist, more like a jacket. I was expecting an insulating layer the full length of the coat. I find the hood to be mostly useless due to its shape, It doesn't fit my head, but, I don't usually wear a hood when outdoors anyway, so no big deal. It also has the annoying sleeves that many coats with removeable inner linings seem to have: the sort that one has to grab from the outside when removing the coat or the whole sleeve wants to ride up your arm as you take off the coat. Annoying to me, yes, but not a huge issue. The finish on the fabric is dull and somewhat coarse so it does not shed dirt well, rather it tends to dig right in. For instance, if I rub against something dusty, the dust is not easily brushed away, it wants to stay put. We dirt does not brush off well even after it dries. So, I can see that it will need to be laundered on a much more regular basis than any other outdoor work coat I've had. Our dog loves the orange color because it makes it easy for him to spot me outside. All in all, I'm pleased with the coat for the price I paid. If I had paid full price, I would disappointed.
