Like another customer, I put in a thick insole to provide some structure and cushion when I was trying them on. I couldn't use them without that. They are very cute, but I am debating whether to keep them or send them back.

Found them to be just a smidge narrow, but they were sold out of size 40 so kept them, as I think they are really pretty boots. Color is more of a cranberry color. Very pretty, but definitely red, not russet or even paprika. (Must be close to Fall with my harvest color references!). Leather is not stiff, but not slouchy, either. Soft, but retains its shape. There are short zippers (maybe 3") on the outside of the boot, closer to the top, that are just decorative. I didn't notice them on the picture. They are a burnished brass color, and pretty. I love the shorter length, as my legs are on the short side and sometimes tall boots make me look even shorter. Can't wait to start wearing them.

I usually wear a size 8 1/2 or 9 (wide feet) but the size 40 was a bit long so I exchanged for a 39. A little bit tight in width (for my wide feet) but the leather is soft and supple so they will stretch easily.
The "fur" lining is not thick, really more velvet-like than fur, it make it easy to slide your foot in. -

They were tossed in an STP box without any packing materials. Aside from that, the leather was very nice and the quality seemed good but when I put them on, there was no arch support, my feet were flat and my ankles turned in. I didn't think insoles would solve the problem so I sent them back.
