Can a boot be elegant and edgy at the same time? These boots from Vintage pull it off, even with the all-business sole that works well for walkers like me who frequent mountain trails and pavement in the same day. Beautiful, supple leather and the extra large harness hardware give the boot a great slouchy look. Since boots of this style are often black, the deep chocolate color makes these stand out.

The fit is far from slouchy, though. I wear an 8.5 M to W and the boot is, unfortunately, quite narrow. Took it to the brilliant local cobbler for a stretch, but they're still tight. Will not give them up, as the cobbler (and other reviewers) promise the boots will eventually give a little and conform to my feet.

Beautiful boots but way too narrow for my foot. Too bad, because I really loved these. They seem to be built very sturdy with great tread.

All of Vintage Shoe Company shoes and boots are such high quality. I was a little unsure about keeping these as they are slightly narrower in the foot than the Molly Boots of theirs (which are a perfect fit) and also looser in the heel and narrow in the calf. But leather does give and decided to take the time to break them in in the house first. At this price how could I not.

These boots are beautiful and comfy, exactly what I wanted. They feel a little bit tight in the width but I know the leather will give in a little time.
The price was the best part...great value.

These boots are so well done! I love the quality. A little loose in the heal for me but will use a boot sock to fix. Bought black and brown.

The Vintage shoe co. makes high quality boots that I love this will be my 5th pair. I am a size 7.5-8, got the 8 and they are a little loose on the heal but nothing a boot sock won't fix. They are narrow which is great for me, also the shaft is perfect, not to loose on my legs or to tight. Highly recommend. Thank you STP for the pricing also, you make it possible to own several fantastic pair of boots!

I love my Gretchen Harness boots!! The quality of the materials used far exceeded my expectations. I do have to agree with other reviewers the width of these boots do run slightly narrow. I wear a size 8 M and these boots a little tight but after a few hours they fit perfect! I would not recommend these boots if you have wide feet.

These boots are absolutely beautiful! I wanted them to fit so bad. Based on other reviews, I ordered an 8 ( I wear a 7.5). The 8 ' s were too big unfortunately, so I ordered a 7.5. Super excited when I finally received them......but they were too tight. I think they are an odd shape, the toe portion is just so narrow. Sent both pairs back with a sad face. Customer service was absolutely outstanding and very helpful with all of this.

Firstly, I did find these boots to run slightly small; it might be best to order a half size up. I am usually between a 9.5 and a 10 and the 10s are slightly snug, but after wearing them around the house for a few house they seemed to give a little and I am confident the leather will form to my feet. They are also narrow, so someone with a wider foot might have a hard time with these. They were also snug around the calves when I first put them on, but again, they have already stretched to give a little bit of space in that area after I have been wearing them for a day. So, probably not a good fit for someone with wider feet and calves.

I have found that boots of this style can sometimes be rigid and hard to walk in but these are comfortable and pretty flexible. They are very stylish, and the western influence is subtle.

I am thrilled with these boots and would definitely recommend them!
