Verified Buyer Reviewed by fbcamper from illinois on Saturday, November 5, 2016This sock meets my expectations-- strategically padded and has compression areas. Color is fun-- I got the magenta/fuschia-and-black. Wool socks are the best, and Bridgedale is making some very nice ones.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Pat walking, hiking from Minnesota and visits to the West! on Saturday, May 21, 2016Nice cushion. Somewhat thick. The Bridgedale socks seem to shrink, but when put on fit me perfectly. I once saw a woman say they shrunk and gave them away without trying them on again. Once they are on my feet, they stretch out perfectly. Perhaps someone with a long narrow foot might try the Fox River Light Socks - PrimaLoft®-Merino Wool, Crew (For Men and Women) Item #9615A-03-M- These I did not like as they always had about an inch or so in front of my toes that would fit a size 8+ narrow foot better than mine.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by mountainmama from Illinois on Saturday, April 23, 2016Great looking socks. I walk everywhere in my neighborhood. I need good, cushioned socks that stay in place. These fit the bill and they look great besides.
Only issue I have is they smelled funny right out of the package. a washing took care of that.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by sparky from Mid-Atlantic on Monday, March 21, 2016I've tried a lot of brands of wool socks and Bridgedale is my favorite for hiking socks. These were very comfortable with squishy padded soles and soft wool blend fabric. I can't see any flaws that shows they're seconds. I've tried the ones that are considered unisex where a men's small is supposed to work for me (women's size foot 7.5-8) but they seem too big. So the one's that are specifically women's work best (for me). The mediums are just right.
