I have been wearing the straight leg boot cut Carhartts for years but have had trouble finding my size at STP lately and so decided to try the Jasper Jeans when my size showed up there. I really like these. I wear a size 2 (5' 7", 120 lbs) and find these to be a gentle, roomy cut but not too loose. The bottoms have a flare and the fabric is lighter than shown and have softened to a nice feel with washings. These are holding up well and feel dressier than the other Carhartt jeans I own. I now own two pairs and reach for them more often than others. The fabric is lighter and I anticipate these jeans being good as the weather warms up.

After reading other reviews I figured I would need the 14 no way I probably could wear a 10 in these or a 12 with thermals underneath. Other than sizing they are a nice loose fitting jean perfect for working in and for the price I will just keep them they will work great in the winter over either sweats or another pair of jeans not super heavy but not paper thin.

These run very big. I usually wear a 12 - 14. Ordered both sizes and the 12's are too big. 14's are huge. Waist is gappy in the back. Had 2 other people try them on and they fit them funny also.

Although these seemed to be nice jeans, I thought they ran big. I would order a whole size smaller. They're listed as boot cut, but fit like wide leg. I love the quality of Carhartt, because their products are usually great. I'll try a different style next order.

Very soft, nice quality denim. Comfortable. Mid rise. The back pockets were spread too wide apart, making my bum look bigger. Too bad.

I'm 5'4" &145lbs. These are almost the only jeans that fit my every curve, had a pair of Levi's that our pup decided to eat (all the crucial parts to make them wearable :-/). The short size fit me perfect as I had previously bought a pair in the regular that drags a bit due to my height. So, yes buy them if you love comfort :-)

I had no idea these well bell bottoms, really beyond boot cut. The leg in general was disproportionately large. Well constructed, however, just not what I was expecting from the picture.

Finally someone's figured out how to make jeans that aren't low riders and aren't the dreaded 'Mom jeans' either! "Mid rise" is a perfect description, because they actually do fit right below my waist. I'm 5'5", but with a long torso, short legs, and narrow in the hips. Most women's trousers/jeans are horrendously baggy on me because they're made for women with hips. These fit nicely through the hips, and don't result in the usual 'baggy butt'. If you're a 'hippy chick,' these might be a bit narrow for you. I ordered the short length (my inseam is about 29"), and after I put them in the dryer once or twice, they should be just right with a low heel.

Like other reviewers, I think 'bell bottoms' would be a better description for these than 'boot cut,' but seriously - for the price, I'll live with it. Didn't Oprah say that most of us should wear jeans that are wider at the bottom to balance our look anyway?
