Like the Summit Boot socks from Bridgedale, these have just enough elastic to stay up without constricting the ankle and calf. The will is thick and soft, and the socks seem to be nearly identical to some Bridgedale socks I bought ten years ago. I had worried I would never find them again, but here is something comparable. Well made. Sizing is accurate. I expect they'll last a long time, and I bought more.

I was a previous fan of Bridgedale socks made with coolmax and wool and was looking to add more. My last socks were women's medium (I wear women's size 8 shoes) but I could not find women't socks in stock that met my criteria. I ordered these men's socks in size small and they fit great. They are not too thick, not too thin, comfy in summer or winter, and not tight around my calves. They wash nicely in washer and dryer .The ones I ordered were irregulars and they looked it - the yarn changed color in an inconsistent way; and one sock was not stitched correctly at the top. One pair had a hole in the toe seam that I could easily put my thumb through - a call to customer service got a quick offer of replacement or refund.

I wear these with my Merrell clogs in the snow and my feet stay dry. I wear them around the house and my feet stay warm but not hot. Great sock for everyday wear.
