I have been hiking with these great boots about a year now. I get in a couple of long hikes each week. The terrain is desert mountains in New Mexico & I have not been let down once. I love the idea of putting my foot down & knowing there will be no slipping, my foot is secure. They fit perfect & even after hours of rock & cactus my feet are comfortable & safe. They work for me!

These are great boots. Fits like a glove, short break-in time, and substantial without being too heavy.

I wear 8.5 wide. I purchased a 9 wide (EUR 40). The toe box is too narrow for me. The boot itself is beautiful. However, once I put a couple of miles walking around my neighborhood, I determined my feet would be miserable on hills. My toes kept hitting the front. Because they are worn for a few miles around the block, I can't return them.

Just returned from a 15-day backpacking trip to Isle Royale, where I wore a pair of Vasque St. Elias GTX I bought last yr. My feet tend to be narrow. Little toes rubbed in the St. Elias. They had great support, are sturdy and pretty light. But they soaked through on the trip and were not quite sturdy enough for bushwhacking with 40 pounds. So when I saw these on sale for $110, I couldn't pass them up. Slightly taller than the St. Elias, more rubber protection, the leather seems more substantial, heel has a little more flair, the toe box area is roomy in height and the width seems a bit more little toe friendly without being too wide. Anticipate these working perfectly for bushwhacking with heavy pack! Both models fit true to size. Normally wear 9.5 and these fit perfect. I'm a 5'7" 145lb 59 y/o athletic female.

I ordered these boots in my true size of 7 and went with the wide as I read many reviewstudents that Vasqes run narrow. They were still way to Narrow!

They seem well made as usual w.r.t. vasque. I was hoping that these would fit like my previous vasque boots but the fit is very different. I've had vasque sundowners and another vasque style I don't know the name of (and can't seem to find anywhere). In both of these the 8.5 W fit my foot very well. This pair in an 8.5 was too big, especially in the toe box but basically overall too big. I don't think going down a half size will make the fit better unfortunately. I've had good luck with vasque in the past and will try another style.

Four stars because I have only hiked 7 miles in them so far, but imagine them holding up spectacularly.
I am 25, purchased these boots for volunteer trail maintenance, where I need to have boots with full leather sides and no mesh. They are definitely comfortable, sturdy, waterproof, and attractive. Within the first 2 miles, my feet became quite hot, while wearing smartwool hiking socks. I will wear these for the summer, but think I will enjoy them more in the winter because of how much heat my feet produced in them.
I am usually a size 8 in tennis shoes/sandals. (Also have a bit wider foot than average) I first ordered size 8, but my toes were too cramped, so I got an 8.5 and they fit well.

Back in the day, the only boots you'd see on any Colorado summit were all leather, and half of them were Vasque. Erikssons feature full-grain leather uppers, excellent Vibram soles, goretex liners. Leather boots take longer than nylon to conform to your feet. Once they break in, they fit and they last. These are sturdy enough for crampons or a heavy pack, still light enough for day hikes. I'm a guy w 9.5 B width feet, bought women's size 11 med. Length is true to size, width is slightly wider than most in the forefoot/toe, perfect with thicker socks. Price is half of retail, free returns @ STP retail stores, and these come w 2 pair of laces in different colors. If, like me, you shop hard for durable gear @ bargain prices, try these.
