Buff Pro Series Angler 2 Gloves - UPF 50+, Fingerless (For Men and Women)

Closeouts. Your anticipation builds as the sun rises over the water; you cast your line and get your first bite of the morning. These moments are what fishing is all about -- and sore hands can ruin a great day on the lake. Buff Pro Series' Angler 2 gloves feature a grippy and tough aquatic-suede palm with a stripping guard to protect you from line burns. They also have a UPF 50+ rating to protect against sunburns.

I purchased these for sun and wind protection and to help my palms during a week-long fly fishing trip. I typically wear a L to XL in work gloves and ski gloves. I purchased the L/XL size accordingly and they are a little bigger than I'd like them. These gloves also have a very thick palm and fingers which is stiffer than I'd like as well. I tried them multiple times during my trip, but the bulk and stiffness interfered with my rod feel more than it was worth. They ended up in my bag more than on my hands. I wish they were snugger and more pliable. I will continue to try them over time in hopes they soften up, but that's no guarantee.

I bought these to keep the sun off the tops of my hands while fly fishing and rowing down the river on a raft. I didn't expect much from the pads on the palms of the gloves but they worked really well and kept my hands from drying out and blistering while rowing on a 3 day raft trip. The gloves do not get in the way of fishing and were nice to get wet to keep my hands cool in temps over 100 degrees. I would highly recommend these to anyone who wants to keep the sun off their hands as sunscreen wears off quickly while fishing.

These are really nice 'sun-gloves' Heavy duty leather a bit thick but I am sure after a few uses it will soften up.
