I bought this for my husband. It came in perfect condition and fit perfectly. All the bells and whistles that we wanted for a snowboard jacket. We haven't had a chance to use it but I am totally impressed with the quality of this jacket. Not too heavy not too light. It will be perfect for layering. My husband loves it and we were absolutely blessed to be able to purchase such a great jacket for such an excellent price. I only rated it a 4 because we haven't used it in the snow yet. On a technical note for those that care: the powder skirt is not removable. The front hand pockets are not huge. There is only one pocket on the inside that is about 4 x 5 inch. It is not big but it is secured by 2 velcro closures. Nothing will come out of that pocket. The hood also has a small bill on it which is nice. The zipper closures do not seem waterproof but they all have flaps that secure over the zippers.

Got this to replace my aging 686 Smarty jacket. Immediately this is more lightweight and warmer than the 686. Will help with freedom of movement as well. We'll see how it endures the seasons...

I purchased this jacket for my husband and am so happy to find it after trying two other similar styles and returning them. We wanted something warm that did not contain down. He usually wears a size large in coats, but in this one we got a medium, and it fits really well. Somewhat formfitting, but still plenty of room for layering. The color is really nice also. We have not yet used it in the rain/snow, but it is really warm. If you seem to have a hard time finding a nice waterproof jacket that can go from street to cold light hiking to slopes, I think this one is probably going to work great for you.

We are planning on taking it on a winter vacation, so it is a great all purpose item. And super affordable!
