You can carry a snowboard either vertically or horizontally - flexibility is great.

I bought this for resort boarding. It is the perfect size. I can cram a 100 weight fleece, a primaloft 1/4 zip and still have room in the main compartment for more stuff. The main compartment also has a side zip for easy access when the board is strapped in. There is also a medium sized compartment for additional stuff, and two small vertical pockets on the outside. There is also a small compartment on the belt strap which could easily fit a tool, phone, and a couple more small items. The board sits nicely when carrying it horizontally and I can barely even notice the extra weight. i loaded the bag up strapped on my board and it was comfartable. I even ran around in it to see if any shifting occurred. Nothing. Bottomw line: It is a great bag for day trips on the resort or hiking. The hydration compartment is a little questionable and feels more like an after thought. But I love the bag.

I just use this to travel/commute around the city but I would use it on the slopes or just about anywhere else. It is durable and spacious.
