As an added plus they are water proof. I am trying to find a pair in another color so I do not have to wear the same shoe just about every day.

After wearing them for about 10 minutes my feet became use to the low back and I no longer noticed it. These shoes are extremely comfortable and fit true. The only downside is the soul is very slippery on wet floors

Wide shoes are not readily available in all styles and sizes and rarely are they on sale. These shoes are a true fit in size and width. The comfort level is immediately apparent upon the first step. I bought them for travel because they serve a variety of purposes such as walking tours, casual/dressy social events, foul weather, or any other function that organized tours may demand. They compress into a compact shape in my luggage and they are light weight. My only caution would be to wear a wicking sock with these shoes as they are a bit warm. This makes them unsuitable for Summer wear in climates like Arizona or Florida. However, that is why someone invented sandals.

The shoes were perfect, casual but dressy enough to wear to a couple of more formal events. Most important, these shoes are comfortable, stable and light. I could not have been more pleased. Also, at least in size 13 (W), the fit was true.
