    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    Everything about this Rockport shoe was very good except the way it fit. The shoe is a slip-on, with elasticized ankle opening. To put on and take off the shoe, the elastic at the opening must be stretched to allow foot passage, and this is difficult because the opening is tight. If you go with a half size larger, which my vendor recommends, the opening is more accommodating, the shoe is too long. The fit just doesn't work for me, and I have been satisfied with about a dozen previous Rockport shoes (all lace-ups).
