I forded and it was quite stable on 1/2 foot diameter slick stones. They dried in a day or so afterwards, as it was sunny. Most comfortable shoes I have ever had. They fit my wide feet. I wear a 10 1/2 wide. Had a very thin liner, tall, a very thin running low cut sock, and a low medium thick sock. Can feet rocks on trail so better for less of that and more of soil and mud.

I bought these boots for my husband but they were too narrow for him. Luckily we have the same foot size so I now wear them. I gave my husband my hikers and he is very happy. I love the Rockports so we are both satisfied.
