Reviewed by Ken from San Francisco on Friday, April 12, 2013I like wearing liner socks under my hiking socks to prevent blisters. These work great for that. Construction quality is adequate and they seem durable enough (when used as liners). The length is way too tall, however, sticking out a couple of inches above my regular length hiking socks. That's not a big deal if you are wearing long pants, but it looks really silly with shorts.

They are thicker then prev ones I ve purchased for skiing. We plan to use these as liners with an up coming winter hiking trip.

But while not "dull" I'd never say that these were made with a shiny material, and the quality appears to be great. It's a gift that has yet to be given so I can only give it 4 stars.
