“IT Band and Ankle Problems”

“I recently bought these shoes as an all around pair to take to Ireland. I loved the style, and they were nearly waterproof after coating them well with minkoil. They did well on all types of terrain rocky,muddy,slippery.However, after returning I started having serious pain in my IT Band and lateral malleolus around my right ankle. When I stopped wearing them, the pain subsided in several days. I removed the footbed to notice that the construction of the shoe is at a 10-15 degree angle, not level which for me leads to a positive pelvic tilt which no doubt tighted my hamstrings and radiated stress down my leg and to the ankle. They may be good for some but beware! My only problem is that I can't return them now. But at [$] it was an affordable lesson learned.”
