    I travel alot walking through airports and city streets. These socks are the most comfortable of any I've tried. They have padding on the ball of the foot and heel and they stay up! They are really well constructed. I wish I had found them earlier.

    I commute via foot with a backpack daily, so regular socks don't cut it for me. I found these to be adequate in construction, fiber content, and cushioning--they do seem well-made--but they would not be my first choice for actually backpacking. I ordered size M for my size 8.5 women feet and they are just a little bit too large--my boyfriend will be happy to get them. Still a good value.

    I have Rohner's wool socks for which I have nothing but praise. So when I saw these pairs from the same company I was more than willing to give them a try even though they are pricey. Disappointing. It looked good, felt good, for several washes. Then they started to frazzle where they touch against the tongues of the work and hiking boots. They all look very dingy now. I expected better from Rohner.
