No, I would not recommend this to a friend
“I have many pairs of Rohner's Trekker and Light Trekker socks, which I love because they're made with Merino wool—always soft and comfortable. However, these particular Trekkers contain "new wool," not Merino. I am returning them and suggest that the description be changed to reflect the actual material used.”
