The 8 fits my 8 foot lenghwise, but would require another inch or more to fill the volume of the shoe! These are enormous and would be wonderful for someone dealing with edema.

There is no way to make the strap fit snugly on a slender foot ( I wear a medium width in most shoes). A shoemaker might be able to deal with this, so if the style and construction (both very good) make repairs worth the money to you, I say "go ahead". Would have kept them otherwise. Note: I ordered a 37 and a 38, but both were too loose for comfort.

The heel is the right height for comfort and is flattering. The price was so practical and comparatively less than more expensive sandals not made as well. The flaw is that the unadjustable "stretchy strap" is too stretchy even when the sandal new, in my case the right one more than the left. I put foot pads in the shoe to make them smaller.

I'm afraid I had the same experience. I ordered the size that always fits me. They look great, and have good comfort features. I'll keep them, as mailing back is a hassle and expensive. I only hope they are wearable.......
