Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Part Time Traveler from Florida on Thursday, June 13, 2013Fabric is soft and comfy...it was just too big for me. Very pretty. It runs true to size. When I ordered up a size because they were out of mine, it was just too big.
Reviewed by Careful Shopper from CA on Thursday, May 23, 2013I love the bright, bold colors in this nightgown which is reminiscent of tropical travels and exotic evenings. The fabric is soft, silky, and cool to the touch. I haven't worn it yet but I am sure it will be very comfortable in the warm summer temperatures.
Reviewed by Katherine the avid veggie gardener from SF Bay Area on Tuesday, May 21, 2013It is a very bright tropical jungle print, but hey, it's summer. I think the photo is pretty accurate. The fabric on this is very sleek, smooth, stretchy and drapes really well. It is not a cheap, thin fabric--it has some heft and is obviously good quality. The armholes and neck are finished nicely, very smooth--nothing to irritate or chafe. I have already washed it once (washed on delicate, tumbled 5 minutes, hung on line to finish drying), and it did not shrink or have any issues.
The fit: The neckline is not low, and the hem hits right around mid-knee on me (I'm 5ft6in). Armholes seem to be a good size, not big enough to gape but big enough not to be tight. I got the size 50, and it fits pretty well. I usually take an 18-20, sometimes 20-22 on things that run a bit small. The stretchiness means it can fit a bit of a range. If the info I read on European sizes was correct, then I'd say this is sized fairly accurately, not running small, not running big.
For a nightgown, the style is more slinky than bare, and a lot of that is due to the fabric. I'm no Dorothy Lamour but it's the most flattering nightie I've worn for awhile. If you want to be comfortable and still feel like a jungle princess, give this gown a try!
