“This is nice, cast aluminum Ross reel. Ross makes good stuff!. The reel is well made, with a smooth drag, and will serve my purposes well. IMO-you don't need a precision machined, ultra-light weight, high tech reel for 90% of fresh water fly fishing in the US (although I do have one!). At the price I paid on clearance for this reel, I couldn't even buy an extra spool for my other reel! One of the best "value for money" deals out there. Way to go Sierra Trading Post!”
