“half-size too small, painful on/off”

“These boots are very difficult and painful to put on and take off. The tongue is very stiff and pushes very hard on top of the foot right right below the joint with leg. The feel fine once they are on. The only other problem is that they definitely feel at least a half size too small. I am consistently a size 11 US and have easily purchased 40 to 50 pair of footwear from STP at this size with very good fit. As another reviewer has indicated this sizing issue, it seems that STP should have investigated this a bit and stated that people should choose next half-size up. I will return these boots for this reason because one does not want to have their toes (primarily the big one on both feet) right at the front with only 2 to 3 mm of play, especially with a ski boot. Otherwise the boot looks like it would be good, but the stiffness of tongue and inability to move the tongue any further forward while putting on and taking off is also a deal breaker. Tecnicas go on and off like a slipper, and fit like a glove.”
